As the saying goes, a little planning and preparation go a long way. Before you hit the road, review our top tips for making sure your EV road trip goes off without a hitch. 

• Start out with a full charge. You wouldn’t leave for a weekend of fun with a nearly empty tank of gas, so charge up before you head out!
• Plan your route beforehand. Take note of charger locations and where you plan to stop and recharge. Utilize PlugShare’s trip planner feature to expedite this process.
• Check out the Google Maps app within your car’s digital display – it can keep track of metrics like battery level and energy usage. It can also easily add charging stops along your route based on performance and range.

Small Towns, Big Delight

Tifton

Tifton is teeming with things to do, from shopping to museums, and don’t forget to enjoy some down home Southern cooking. With charging stations located in the heart of downtown Tifton near City Hall and at multiple hotels, you can head south without worrying about where to charge.

Athens

While Athens is perhaps most widely known for being home to the University of Georgia and its back-to-back National Champion Bulldogs, Athens also boasts an incredible food and music scene. Make it a weekend of entertainment and indulgence in the Classic City with a stay at The Graduate or SpringHill Suites. For those making a day trip, plug in at The Classic Center downtown.

Rome
